7 Food for Maintain Healthy Eyes

1. Carrots 

Carrots are one of the types of vegetables that are very good for eye health because carrots contain beta-carotene, beta-carotene which is converted by the body into vitamin A, which is very important to maintain eye health. Carrots are also beneficial to release free radicals in our body.


2. Tomato

tomato has many benefits to maintaining eye health. Tomato enriched vitamin A, vitamin C and lycopene, which are three very important nutrients to the eye.

3. Broccoli

Broccoli contains nutrients lutein and zeaxanthin. Both of these nutrients function as 'sunglasses' which serves to protect the eyes from UV rays. Not only that, eating cabbage is proven to reduce the risk of developing cataracts.

Dark chocolate is the best food for eye health because there is the content in dark chocolate flavonoids that protect blood vessels of the eye. The content of flavonoids can serve as an agent to sharpen eyesight and also can protect the retina of the eye and cornea. This dark chocolate can be a substitute carrots for those who do not like vegetables.
